In this relaxed 3-hour beginner workshop, you will discover simple printmaking techniques and create your own hand-printed designs. Using lino, recycled materials and a variety of printing methods, you will design and print a small series of cards, mini artworks or decorative prints to take home. This workshop is perfect for anyone who enjoys drawing, making things by hand, or simply trying something creative in a welcoming farmhouse setting in rural France.
How to create a simple design suitable for printmaking Basic lino-cutting techniques How to transfer and print your design using different methods How to experiment with texture, pattern and repetition How to create small prints, greeting cards or handmade stationery.
Depending on your interests and experience level, we may experiment with: lino printing simple stamp making printing with recycled materials such as milk cartons hand-printing using a spoon printing with a small press The focus is on experimentation, creativity and enjoying the process rather than producing perfect results.
